Lida J. BRIDGES died Friday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Marie Clark near Danville. She was born on March 8, 1877 the daughter of Rev. ML and Sarah Jane Pope. She was born near Shelbyville, Ill and came to Indiana when 13 years of age. She died Jan 3, 1947 aged 69 years 10 months 26 days. On Oct 14, 1897 she was married to Omer Bridges. He preceded her in death May 13, 1937. Survivors are two daughters Ruby Powers of Ladoga, Marie Clark of Danville, 4 sons Frank Bridges of Bainbridge, James Bridges of Rushville and Perl and Earl Bridges of Fincastle, a grandson Frank Powers, four daughters, Betty Josephine, Sarah Jane, Marlene and Arlene Bridges, two brothers Roscoe Pope of Pittsboro, SM Pope of Ladoga and nieces and nephews. Burial in Blakesburg cemetery.
